HELICOPTER RECON MISSION
The Helicopter Recon set is displayed very well in the package. You get a very good look at what you are buying.

The different items to the set pop right out of the package when you open it. It's very easy to get all of it out and it's immediately ready to use.

This is a fun set. I like it a lot. It has a lot of great play value about it. Hasbro shows it to be an accessory for Firefly, but that just doesn't work well to me. I say create a new Cobra trooper that uses this pack to patrol the fortress. Or you could get inventive and create a Heli-Viper. You could even make an updated Destro troop. There's a lot of possibilities.

I give this set 8 Cobras. Sure it could have scored higher, but the simple fact that pitching this set to be an accessory for Firefly limited what was put into the set. There could have been some extra items included. Maybe even a "flight suit". It's a nice set, just not something that should be for Firefly..

MOUNTAIN RECON MISSION
The Mountain Recon set is displayed very well in the package. You get a very good look at what you are buying.

The different items to the set pop right out of the package when you open it. It's very easy to get all of it out and it's immediately ready to use.

This is a nice set and does give you some decent extra items to use with your 12" figures. Creating a modern day Alpine does come to mind. You can do this, but finding the right 12" figure is where the trouble will be. Technically you can use whatever you want. Technically though if you're making Alpine you'll want him to look like Alpine did from the past.

I give this set 8 Cobras. It's a nice set and has a lot of possibilities. Your imagination can pretty well run wild here.

Sets

OCEAN ASSAULT WITH WET SUIT
Wet Suit and the sail board has a nice presentation in the box when you find him on the shelf. You get a basic idea of what you are getting. He definately stands out when you see him on the shelf. He also has his filecard on the back so you can read it without opening the figure. His filecard is written decently.

Opening the figure, you have multiple fasteners to untangle. This takes a little time. He comes out easily once all fasteners are removed.

The head sculpt of this figure could work for Wet Suit. He has a rather cocky look about him, but the character has been know to be. Fans never saw him that much without his helmet/scuba gear in the comic. He did appear on the cartoon without the mask and he didn't quite look like this figure. That's ok in this case technically. His outfit is sort of odd, but it's plausible to some degree.

I give him 9 Cobras. He's an ok Wet Suit. It is possible to buy or even make a better outfit for him, so the igure is salvageable. The over all accessories does make this a fun toy for kids, so he does get a higher mark than you might think.

RIVER ASSAULT WITH GUNG HO
Gung Ho along with the kayack has a nice presentation in the box when you find him on the shelf. You get a decent idea of what you are getting, but some of it is slightly hidden. The images of the toy on the box make up for this however. He definately stands out when you see him on the shelf. He also has his filecard on the back so you can read it without opening the figure. His filecard is written decently.

Opening the figure, you have multiple fasteners to untangle. This takes a little time. He comes out easily once all fasteners are removed.

This is another example of taking everything about the character and throwing it out. There are thoughts that remind you of Gung Ho, but nothing really to say much about. A fan expects continuity, but they don't get it here. He works as a 12" character, and his accessories make him a fun toy, but that's it.

I give him 8 1/2 Cobras. He should get a lower score, but he does make for a fun toy with kids. He could be better but Hasbro decided little effort was good enough..
