WAVE 3

Baroness
Baroness is packaged with Flint in the G.I.Joe vs Cobra packaging. She has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

Opening the package is easy. The figures come right out without any ties, tape or other restraints holding the figure in. The weapons are a little too secure. I had to cut the bubble pack to get some of them out. You also get a nice background with the Baroness filecard attached. You even get issue #1 of the mini comic with a reverse poster on the other side. This poster alternates from pack to pack between Cobra or G.I.Joe.

This is a completely new sculpt of the baroness. It's a take of her original figure's outfit with some new touches. This figure isn't that well sculpted. She looks very robotic. I really was wishing that the phtos I saw didn't do the figure justice. Her upper thighs are oddly sculpted. Her Cobra logo on her chest looks like a venus flytrap. The large shoulders on this figure stand out far too much. The head sculpt just isn't that flattering to the character either. Plus the hair highlights are really weird. Some people have seen red among a couple of other colors. Mine has pink.

I give Baroness 5 Cobras. This figure could have been so much better. It is a figure to get for your collection, but we can only hope that something better will come out later.

Beach Head
Beach Head is packaged with Dr. Mindbender in the G.I.Joe vs Cobra style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

Beach Head is almost a perfect figure. There's minor problems that keep him from being perfect though. One thing when he comes out of the package, his legs are extremely bow legged. You can fix this by heating the knee joint with a hairdryer and letting it cool straightened, but a kid wouldn't think to do this. The head sculpt is a little over done for the character wearing a mask. Hasbro's attempt to reduce the bulk of the new figures sort of made Bead Head look a little too skinny and his arms are slightly too long.

I give Beach Head 9 Cobras. The problems I listed sound like a lot, but it's not really. It's nice to see that hasbro is attempting to adjust the problems fans have sent complants in about. This one is just a result of being a transition figure.

Blowtorch
Blowtorch is packaged with Snow Serpent in the G.I.Joe vs Cobra style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

Blowtorch is a really nice figure. Sure you could sit and complain all day that he looks nothing like the original, or he looks like Duke's twin brother, or anything like that. Those comments are true and have been said around the net, but he's a really cool figure. He is a really nice sculpted figure. The only weird thing is the sound attack peg on his backpack.

I give Blowtorch 10 Cobras. He's a figure that you need in your collection. A really nice sculpt along with a nice paint decor on the figure.

Cobra Commander
Cobra Commander is packaged with Snake Eyes in the G.I.Joe vs Cobra packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

This is the same wave 1 figure, but he now has been fitted with an O ring. This really make this figure that much better. Seriously! That extra articulation does make that much of a difference.

I give this Cobra Commander 9 1/2 Cobras. The included O ring makes him that much better than the wave 1 figure, but he still has his wrestler looking chest. He needs some of that bulk taken down to really put him at a perfect 10. He's a great figure though and one you sould get so you can lock away that wave 1 version and pretend the lack of O ring was a horrible dream, hehe.

Dr. Mindbender
Dr. Mindbender is packaged with Blowtorch in the G.I.Joe vs Cobra packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

You even get issue #1 of the mini comic with a reverse poster on the other side. This poster alternates from pack to pack between Cobra or G.I.Joe.

This is a nice new take on Dr. Mindbender. He keeps much of the same look that the original figure had, but he adds a whole new twist. He is really well sculpted and makes a perfect evil scientist!

I give Dr. Mindbender 9 1/2 Cobras. He could have been perfect, but his hard plastic cape and odd molding position of his hands bumps him down a half a point. He is a very well done figure, but he needs these small probelms fixed in some way to be 100% perfect.

Flint
Flint is packaged with Baroness in the G.I.Joe vs Cobra style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

This figure has a nice over all design. I really like the updated idea hasbro came up with for Flint. The figure's legs are too long though and his face sculpt looks rushed. The face doesn't have a finished look about it and because of that he doesn't look like any imagined idea we've come to know as Flint. He really almost looks like He-Man.

I give Flint 8 1/2 Cobras. He's a nice figure to have and use as Flint, but it will be nice if another version comes out later. This is a nice figure, just he has his problems.

Snake Eyes
Snake Eyes is packaged with Cobra Commander in the G.I.Joe vs Cobra style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

Until something better comes out, this is THE SNAKE EYES that version above all others for me. He great! All the articulation and the sculpt is absolutely perfect. Hasbro really did well with this one. The first 20,000 figures coming out are grey and purple. After that they will be the perfect black figure as he should be!

This figure gets nothing else but a 10! Either version and you should have them both! He's a figure that will stand out from now on in the G.I.Joe line. No matter what else comes out after this one, this figure will be one that stand out in G.I.joe history books!

Snow Serpent
Snow Serpent is packaged with Blowtorch in the G.I.Joe vs Cobra style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

Snow Sepent is a great update of the original. The addition of the fur and cape are great. He does have his bulky parts to him, but that can be overlooked since he's in arctic gear. His snow shoes are a down side since they are made only for him. The snow shoes have 2 pegs along with 2 peg holes in the feet. I know when I played years ago as a kid, I had my figures take their shoes and use from time to time. You can't do that with now. This is another one of those lack of paying attention sides that the current sculpters seem to have every now and then.

Even though there are those problems I listed, I still give the Snow Serpent 10 Cobras. He is a really nice figure. He's really well worth getting and very much so worth troop building with if you're into that. His dog/wolf that's packed with him is a repainted Order from the original style figure Law and Order. It's a sort of odd choice to use, but you could team the dog/wolf with Snake Eyes and call him Timber!

WAVE 2 REPAINTS

These are repainted versions of Scarlett, Storm Shadow (wave 1) Zartan, and Stalker. The general thing said is that these are just packing for the new wave to even the shipment out.

Scarlett looks more less like a reverse of the paint pattern that was on the first version. She has green where the tanish color was. Her armor pieces are grey colored, and she has the tanish color used for highlights. Her weapons are the same.

Storm Shadow is the same wave 1 figure complete with non O ring construction. He's done in black with white on the face, legs, and arms. There's brown highlights added. His weapons are the same.

Zartan has maroon color on his hood like the original figure. His vest is also maroon with a black chest instead of being bare. The armor is a greenish color with the pants being black. He comes with the same weapons.

Stalker is done in more realistic military colors this time. He has an OD jacket rather than his bright colored previous one. His pants are a tan color and he's wearing a matching tan beret. He has the same weapons.

I'll give these repaints 7 Cobras as a whole.
