WAVE 4

B.A.T.
B.A.T. is packaged with Shipwreck in the vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he has one arm stuck through the back of the package to hold him in his pose. This can be a problem for young kids tryingto get him out. Otherwise the figure does pop right out. There are some accessories. The Backpack is known to go to the B.A.T. The other gun that posed with the figure also is the B.A.T.'s. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Cobra B.A.T.'s is written well enough.

The figure reminds you of a Clone Trooper from Star Wars. He looks pretty cool, but he has no swivel joint for his arm. This does cause some problems for ideas you might ave in posing him. His arms are very flexible though, and can be used to your advantage to pose him. You have to be careful because you could damage the figure moving him this way as the plastic/rubber arms are pretty thin. Which is actually another thing, his arms being so thin, he looks a little odd. You can write it off as that he's an android, but still a little extra "bulk" would have been ok here. There's also no interchangable limbs. He has perminent hands so the only weapon is what he can hold. This is ok, but the changable hands have become something that's familiar with the character and you tend to expect it. A cool extra is that this figure is taller than all other G.I.Joe figures. This works well for this figure.

I'll give the B.A.T. 8 Cobras. He is a pretty neat looking figure, but he should have been better. There's no reason to change the staples of this character just because a new team is working on the G.I.Joe line. There's also no reason to do away with the swivel joint because it doe hurt the posing. He's a nice figure, and the minor problems shouldn't hold you back from building a small B.A.T. army, but do keep your eyes out for a better version later on if one does come out.

COBRA C.L.A.W.S
Cobra C.L.A.W.s is packaged with Dart in the vs packaging style. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. There are several accessories. It's suggested that the large cannon goes with this figure. All of the little bombs are suppose to be shells shot by the cannon, but there's nowhere that you can put them. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Cobra C.L.A.W.s is well written.

This is an update to the Wave 1 figure. He now has an O ring. This really adds to the look of this figure. He still looks futuristic and looks like a character from G.I.Joe Extreme. He's colored blue this time around too.

I give Cobra C.L.A.W.s 9 1/2 Cobras this time. Like I said on the original Wave 1 review, a later remake would be great. This is the later remake and he is great. I only took off half points due to proportions are still slightly off. He doesn't have the same stumpy look as he did though. Now you're ready to build a full scale Cobra C.L.A.W.s army!

DART
Dart is packaged with Cobra C.L.A.W.s in the vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. You really have your pick of what you want to give this figure. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Dart's is written very well.

This figure just has it all when it comes to G.I.Joe! He has a very military look about him, but also has those little extras that set him a side as an individual character. He has the look of a well thought out character. This figure goes up there with all the classics! He does have a slightly crooked face mold. I can't decide if this as on purpose or if the mold messed up on Hasbro. Really it's no big deal and actually seems to add character.

Dart is a perfect 10 Cobras. You must buy this figure! There's nothing about him that will disappoint you. He's probably the best figure of Wave 4.

DUKE
Duke is packaged with Ripper in the vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. There are several accessories. You have a nice pick of what you want to give him. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a fairly nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Duke's is written well.

This is a great figure. After that Wave 1 Duke, this is a nice replacement. He has the looks of what we've come to think Duke to be like, but also adds in some new ideas that work well. He does come with a helmet that looks like it's for when he takes out the Skystriker. I don't exactly know what the thought was on this, butit actually looks pretty cool on Duke.

I'll give Duke 10 Cobras. There's nothing really to complain about here. He also has added wrist and ankle articulation just to top of the figure. You can go wrong picking him up.

DUSTY
Dusty is packaged with Shock Viper in the vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. There are several accessories. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a fairly nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Dusty's is written well.

This is another repaint of this figure. The sculpt is nice, but Dusty in green isn't that great. He's a desert trooper and obviously dressed as so, but yet here he is in olive drab. It's a strange site. I mean sure you could envision a reason for it and make it work, but something better would have worked here.

I give Dusty 6-2 Cobras. The other versions got higher of course, but this one has to get low ranks. He's not one to worry about getting unless you just want a complete collection.

HEAVY DUTY
Heavy Duty is packaged with Skull Buster in the vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. There are several accessories. It's pretty obvious what fits with Heavy Duty. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a fairly nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Heavy Duty's is written decent enough, but still doesn't fit as it should.

This is the same exact figure as from Wave 1. There's nothing different here and even no waist articulation. This is really inexcusable. There was no reason to reoffer this figure when there's nothing different about him. He's space filler. Either Hasbro had too many of these still around, or somebody is a little too proud of this figure and needs to give it up.

I gave the Wave 1 Heavy Duty 6 Cobras, and I'd give this one the same, but I have to drop it all the way down to 2 for the shear fact that he shouldn't be here. He should not have been in this wave unless they added an O ring. That's all there is to say. If you are not interested in Skull Buster, don't bother to pick up this pack.

NEO-VIPER
Neo-Viper is packaged with Wild Bill in the new vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. There are several accessories. There's enough to decide what you want to give the Neo Viper. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a fairly nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Neo Viper's is written well.

Even though I had heard there would probably be a resculpt, I knew there had to be something in mind when the O ring returned. With all the talk of saying the Neo Viper is the Cobra trooper of today, it would be pretty dumb for Hasbro not to remake it. He now is redone and made the way he should be.

I said it with Wave 1's reviews that if the Neo Viper had full articulation, he'd get a solid 10! Well now he hashis 10 Cobras! This made the figure perfect. The color is a little different and I hope to see a blue one with a red Cobra logo.

RIPPER
Ripper is packaged with Duke in the vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. There are several accessories, but missing is the gun you'd hope Ripper to come with (a gun with his trademark bayonet like blade). You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a fairly nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Ripper's is written very well.

This looks like a nice updated Ripper. He has everything any long time fan can remember Ripper to be. There's even a cool referance to grape soda and chocolate donuts in his filecard! He's great, but he needs the weapon that seems fitting for him. He needs the blade. New comers (the young fan) can fully appreciate the figure as well. He says "biker" without any guesses. Now if Hasbro would make some Cobra motorcycles that work well with the Dreadnoks, we'd be all set!

Ripper gets 9 1/2 Cobras. The only reason for the 1/2 point being taken off is because he doesn't come with that trademark weapon! Maybe I'm being too hard and judgemental here, but really it's the main thing I see many fans feeling disappointed in. He is one you have to get though with out a doubt!

SHIPWRECK
Shipwreck is packaged with the B.A.T. in the vs style packaging.

Shipwreck's is written well.

This is a great Shipwreck figure. He looks very much like Devils Due's Shipwreck which isn't a bad thing at all! He no longer has the sailor hat or classic sailor outfit. He now has a "more ready for battle" look. He litterally looks like he's ready to go head to head with any Cobra you want to face him against. Missing however is Polly. It'd have been nice to have seen the bird with him, but it isn't one of those things that's absolutely necessary though.

I'll give Shipwreck 10 Cobras. He's a perfect version of Shipwreck and one you have to have. The is the minor thing of him not coming with Polly which some may think I'd have took half a point off for, but really the figure is that good that his detail makes up for it. One other small complaint is that his holster doesn't work with any gun in the package. It's not so bad really because most of us have a gun laying around that we could probably use. I found one that is from the Soldier Force line.

SHOCK VIPER
Shock Viper is packaged with Dusty in the vs style packaging.

Shock Viper's is written fair.

Here's the Ice Cream Soldier in his second repaint apperance as a Cobra troop. He looks great, but he a repaint. The old style body is starting to stand out to next to some of the great new sculpts. He's isn't bad, but it'd have been neat to have seen an all new figure instead.

I'll give Shock Viper 8 Cobras. He is after all a nice sculpt. He's one of the nice sculpts of the old style figures, but it still would have been nice to have seen a new sculpt. Packaged with a simple repaint Dusty, this is a pack you could just skip without feeling bad about it. A plus however is that the first repaint was in a hard set to get and this is an easier way to get him.

SKULL BUSTER
Skull Buster is packaged with Heavy Duty in the vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. There are several accessories. You getto decide what you want togive Skull Buster, but what belongs with the figure is pretty obvious. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a fairly nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Skull Buster's is really well written.

The look of the figure is great, but he's just another repaint of a Range Viper. The concept of making him an indvidual character is cool, but it would really have been better to have seen him done as a new sculpt.

I'll give Skull Buster 8 1/2 Cobras. He's a neat idea, but he's more like a customizer's idea. Now with the new sculpts in full blown effect, Hasbro should be doing away with the old style bodies. They don't really fit now.

WILD BILL
Wild Bill is packaged with Neo-Viper in the vs style packaging. He has a nice presentation in the package. You get a good look at what your buying.

When you open the package, he comes right out. There's no tape, ties, or other restraints holding him in. There are several accessories. You can mix and match what you wish. Wild Bill kept the guns he was hlding in the package. You also get the usual 2 Sound Attack guns. A plus would have been the inclusion of a stand. You also get a fairly nice background drop that you can use to place in front of your figures if you set them up on display. Attached to the background are the filecards. Wild Bill's is written well.

This figure has a removable hat. As soon as you take that hat off you get an urge to say "WHAT?" as the wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin would say. He's a dead ringer for that wrestler. He looks so much like Steve Austin that you will get and urge to to a custom figure of him if you're a wrestling fan. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice figure, but the head sculpt is not Wild Bill. The card art has a really nice representation of Wild Bill, and you tend to wonder if Hasbro liked the idea, but then threw it out in the middle of sculpting. He has the basic look, but just isn't quite right.

I'll give Wild Bill 7 Cobras. He looks really strange to be considered Wild Bill. A long time fan of G.I.Joe just couldn't seriously think of him as Wild Bill. There will be some that do, but that's going to be up to you. As for me, I'll probably do some custom work to make this one look right. He only scored 7 because the over all sculpt is decent. He works as a Wild Bill stand in, but a better one would be nice to see. Maybe a repaint with some resculpting would be nice.
